The Environmental Services Division protects the environment by enforcing environmental regulations and delivering essential services to the community. The division supports El Paso County residents through resources such as hazardous waste disposal programs and noxious weed education, helping to promote a safe, healthy, and sustainable environment for all.

Hours of Operation
Household Hazardous Waste Accepted
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 8:30AM – Noon & 1:00PM – 4:00PM (will be closed Friday, June 12 for a special ticketed-only event)
- 2026 Saturdays– July 11, September 19, November 7: 8:30 AM – Noon (NO LARGE LOADS)
* Appointments are no longer required unless you have more than 50 items and / or you have business waste. Call or email for more information.
Household Recyclables Accepted
Plan ahead: Bins are closed when at capacity.

- Proof of El Paso or Teller County residency is required at drop-off (photo ID, lease, etc.)
- Some services may not be available during inclement weather (wind, rain, snow, ice). Call 719-520-7878 or 719-520-7879, or text 719-331-3226 to determine status prior to coming to the facility.
- Closed county holidays.
